A bare-naked plant based natural alternative to petroleum jelly. Contains simple, natural and gentle organic ingredients without synthetics, added color, fragrance or preservative. Use this vegan jelly in place of products like Vaseline®, Aquaphor® or Bio-Oil®. This beautifully simple jelly has a divine texture and smooths on skin without leaving a sticky or heavy feel. It's as close as you will find to the texture of petroleum jelly, without heavy butters or thick waxes. A balance of fast and slow absorbing oils deliver both immediate relief and lasting protection, while adding a soft moisture-trapping barrier to the skin.  All ingredients are non-comedogenic, so they won’t cause breakouts or clogged pores.

 

Why is it better than petroleum jelly? Petroleum products provide no healing benefits to your skin, they just create a barrier to trap moisture so your skin can heal. Plus, they are refined hydrocarbons - refined yes, but still petroleum products of unknown purity. 

Plantoleum™ skin jelly not only creates a barrier to moisture loss, but it also contains organic natural oils that do have healing benefits to skin such as reduced inflammation, oil regulation, skin regeneration, wound healing, and anti-microbial benefits.

 

NOTES: unlike the Grass River facial oil which absorbs quickly and fully, this jelly has a similar texture to its petroleum counterparts (think thick & shiny). It also has a distinctively earthy smell from the raw cold-pressed Canadian hemp seed oil.
