Inspired by the boreal plants that grace the shores of Manitoba's Grass River, this facial oil is truly a powerhouse of protection. Suitable for sensitive and reactive skin types, and highly beneficial for damaged, dry, or mature skin suffering from reduced oil production. This facial oil also makes a superior barrier oil for those with compromised moisture barrier function, or skin that needs a time-out to reset. Paper birch is naturally rich in amino acids, proteins, antioxidants, and vitamins which support healthy skin function and reduce inflammation. Fireweed contains oenethein B, which is a polyphenol (plant-based micronutrient) shown to act as an anti-irritant when applied to skin*. Oenethein B reduces redness caused by UV exposure and soothes highly sensitive and reactive skin. Plantain also possesses anti-inflammatory, soothing and calming abilities.
In support of these powerful botanical ingredients, organic apricot and jojoba oils are both safe for very sensitive skin while providing essential fatty acids and nutrients to replenish, restore and protect your skin's moisture barrier. Finally, olive squalane is a rich emollient that mimics natural oils in our skin, making it highly absorptive and easily incorporated into dry and mature skin to reduce signs of aging. Squalane also conditions and softens skin and improves elasticity.

I was skeptical about the concept of facial oil. I tried it and really like it; the oil soaks in so beautifully and I love how it feels. It has a grassy smell, but you'll soon appreciate that. I use it at bedtime, but have also used for daytime. You only need one drop. (The maker has made a smaller bottle now... totally understandable because the oil goes a long way)
My skin has been loving this oil. It goes on so easily and feels light. It makes my dry skin feel so soft and moisturized, and doesn't cause any clogged pores or irritation. It's a great option for those who need extra repair for dry mature skin
