The ingredients are all safe and make sense to me, it feels so wonderful to spread on my face during the day and before bed, it soaks right in and leaves my skin feeling so moisturized and not dry or tight at all. My makeup goes over it flawlessly, and it's a nice non shiny finish just as described. So calming.
